The first international conference on “Which sustainable future for plastic?” (www.plasticfuture.eu) will be held in 21 March 2019 on Mons / Belgium. The event is organised by Idea (Mons; www.idea.be), the Sustainable Economy Association (SEA, Brussels / Belgium; www.sust-econ-ass.be), MateriaNova (Mons; www.materianova.be) and supported by the Wallonian government.
The core question of the one-day event is how companies and organisations can collaborate to build a sustainable future. It aims to identify the most promising research projects, how actors in the plastics industry can engage in efficient programmes for change as well as initiatives to rethink the production and use of plastics, and how they are dealt with after consumption. There will also be panel discussions on the various potential directions to take in sustainable plastics – reduce, recycle and reinvent.
About 150 participants from countries across the globe are attending the event. To find out more about the conference or to register, click here.
