"TEPPFA Forum 2018" to be held in Brussels in April / Part of association's plastic pipes campaign "Discover: Plastics"
On 10 April 2018, the European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association's (TEPPFA, Brussels / Belgium; www.teppfa.eu) biennial forum will take place in Brussels. The "TEPPFA Forum 2018" aims to gather European policy makers with leading industry stakeholders across the plastic pipes value chain, in order to discuss selected topics that might impact the plastic pipes and fittings sector in the EU.
The 2018 edition includes presentations and talks in four conference sessions. These are climate resilience in urban infrastructure (stormwater management systems), draft revision of the EU drinking water directive, impacts of old deteriorating below-ground water assets on water quality and sustainable building. Confirmed speakers include strategic advisor Paul Toyne, Eric Liégeois from the European Commission (DG Grow), Figawa managing director for water Volker Meyer, Stein & Partner Consult managing director Robert Stein, and James Drinkwater, Europe Network regional director at World Green Building Council.
The forum is part of TEPPFA's "Discover: Plastics" campaign (www.discover-plasticpipes.com) that comprises the four areas of performance, strength, longevity and flexibility. The campaign was launched in September 2017 to promote the benefits of plastic pipes in engineering projects throughout Europe – see Plasteurope.com of 29.09.2017.
