With one month left to go until the start of this year’s “IdentiPlast” conference (www.identiplast.eu) on plastics recycling and recovery, organisers PlasticsEurope (Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticseurope.org) and the Environment Agency Austria (Vienna / Austria; www.umweltbundesamt.at/en) have published the final event programme. This year the annual conference takes place in Vienna on 22 and 23 February, and will once again focus on the latest technologies for plastic waste management, while offering a platform to exchange best practices, share knowledge and network (for more details, see also comment of 09.01.2017).

The theme of the 2017 edition – the 13th time IdentiPlast is held – is “Circular Economy and Plastics: Opportunities and Challenges.” Discussing that topic will be a range of key speakers from the European Commission, government representatives from a range of countries – including Austria, Germany and a number of eastern European states – as well as members of academia and associations, among others.

In addition to two days of presentations, the event will also feature the European Association of Plastics Recycling & Recovery Organisations’ (EPRO, Brussels / Belgium; www.epro-plasticsrecycling.org) AwardsCeremony, held on the evening of 22 February.
