10th anniversary of European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders
During the course of “BAU 2013” (www.bau-muenchen.com/en), the trade fair for architecture, materials and systems held in Munich / Germany from 14-19 January 2013, European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders (EPSE, Brussels / Belgium; www.epse.org) will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The one-day event, held on 15 January, will bring together the group’s membership for a discussion round and a celebratory get-together.
Founded in 2003 to promote PC, its applications and to develop safety and quality standards, EPSE today comprises 10 full members as well as three associate members. The former are: Arla Plast, Brett Martin, dott. gallina, Bayer MaterialScience, Quinn Plastics, Kayersberg Plastics, Palram Industries, Polygal Plastics Industries, Danpalon and Sabic Innovative Plastics.
The group is currently working via the European Committee for Standardisation (Comité Européen De Normalisation, CEN, Brussels / Belgium; www.cen.eu) to develop European norms for PC sheet that would allow the CE-mark to be put on the sheets. Another project involves developing an EPSE quality mark to showcase the quality of products manufactured by the group’s members.
