EVC RIGID FILM
German offshoot celebrates 40th anniversary / 50,000 t/y capacity / EUR 110m in sales
EVC Rigid Film GmbH (D-79217 Staufen; www.evc-rigid-film.com), German offshoot of PVC producer EVC International (NL-6245 AD Eijsden; www.evc-int.com), celebrated its 40th anniversary in September. The company and its sister firms in Weißandt-Gölzau (Germany), Castiglione and Cagliari (Italy) are among the world leaders in rigid films. At Staufen and at Bötzingen, Germany, the company operates calendering units with capacity for 50,000 t/y of films.

Production and processing of rigid PVC film is done mainly for pharmaceutical packaging, office supply products, printing and decorative articles, transparent packaging, furniture film, shrink film and technical applications. EVC Rigid Film, which had sales in 2001 of EUR 110m, employs 600. General managers are Hermann Poels and Giovanni Mancuso.
