With effect from 1 September, Erich Cuaz has been appointed director general of the European Plastics Converters’ Association, EuPC (Brussels; www.plasticsconverters.eu), succeeding Federica Gallicchio. Cuaz is thus already the fourth person to hold this position in less than four years – since the departure of long-serving managing director Alexandre Dangis in early 2023. At the same time, Cuaz takes over from Dangis as managing director of the EuPC service company Polymer Comply Europe (PCE) on 1 September.
Cuaz has spent the past 11 years at Clariant, where he was most recently responsible for government affairs and advocacy. He also has experience in association work – including as director of communications at European Aluminium and at the Advanced Biofuels Coalition.

Just a few weeks ago, the association’s members elected Jean-Marc Galvez as the new EuPC president for the period 2026 to 2028. Galvez is COO at Amcor and head of the rigid packaging division.
