With five member companies, the new films sector group was recently formed within the European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels; www.plasticsconverters.eu) association. Renato Zelcher, CEO of speciality film manufacturer Crocco (Cornedo Vicentino, Italy; www.crocco.com) and EuPC president until 2020, was unanimously elected as its founding president.
In addition to Crocco, the sub-organisation European Plastic Films (EuPF) currently consists of the film manufacturers Trioworld (Smålandsstenar, Sweden; www.trioworld.com), RKW (Mannheim, Germany; www.rkw-group.com), Armando Alvarez (Torrelavega, Spain; www.armandoalvarez.com), and Ergis (Warsaw; www.ergis.eu). The new group intends to focus primarily on the topics of circular economy and recycled materials in relation to films and flexible packaging.
EuPC recently appointed Federica Gallicchio to the position of managing director.
