A total of 23 projects were submitted across three categories: design, innovation, and sustainability. Submissions were then assessed through EPSE’s dual voting system, with results weighted equally between public voting and an expert jury.
Winners included Polyvantis in the design category for the Shanghai AI Aviation Tower, Brett Martin for its Marlon CST application project Barney’s Ruins, and Akyver in the sustainability category for Maison des Insectes, a building that combines a lightweight timber frame with translucent polycarbonate panels. Runners-up were also recognised for their contributions and include Mayoral Logistics Centre by Danpal, La Bolla by Polyvantis, and Middelburg by Palram.

The ceremony opened with remarks from Sandeep Dhawan, CEO of Polyvantis – this year’s sponsor and active EPSE member – who highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving the industry forward.
EPSE president Denis Bauer reflected on the association’s 22-year history, praising the creativity and progress within the sector. “What began as a small group defending polycarbonate against the lobbying of mineral glass has grown into a European alliance of innovators. Today, we celebrate not only the quality of our material but also the creativity of the people using it.”
Jury member Somya Abrol, Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Plasteurope.com, praised the high quality of this year’s entries and emphasised the importance of creativity, technical excellence, and adaptability in an ever-evolving market.
Since its launch in 2007, the EPSE Awards have become a benchmark for excellence in polycarbonate applications, showcasing projects that combine innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge design.
