European PC sheet association elects Erwin Roovers as president / Awards for innovation, sustainability and design at "K" 2019

The European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders association (EPSE, Brussels / Belgium; www.epse.org) held meetings from 2-3 April 2019 to discuss technical, regulatory and communication issues that affect the European polycarbonate sheet industry. At the meetings, EPSE members elected a new president, vice president and treasurer. Erwin Roovers (Sabic) replaces David Pampanel (Plazit-Polygal), who was president for the past two years. The new vice president is Peter Kelly (3AC Polycasa), and Laurence Martin (Brett Martin) is the treasurer.
Another topic at the meetings was the EPSE quality label the association launched in 2018 – see Plasteurope.com of 04.04.2018. The label is based on thorough research and technical standards and is to protect the quality and image of PC sheets.

EPSE awards at "K" trade fair in Düsseldorf
Members also discussed the upcoming ninth edition of the "EPSE Awards", an internal competition for members to recognise the most innovative, sustainable and best design projects made from PC. The next EPSE Awards ceremony will take place on 21 October 2019 during the "K" trade fair in Düsseldorf / Germany. The event will take place at Trinseo's booth, which is sponsoring the ceremony.
