EPSAN
Recycled PA 6 and PA 6.6 compounds capacity to increase
Turkish compounder Epsan (Bursa; www.epsan.com.tr) is making investments to increase capacity of recycled PA 6 and 6.6 compounding grades, which are marketed to Europe, Southeast Asia and North America under the "Eplamid" and "Eplon" brands. According to Epsan, its recycled material capacity will be around 5,500 t/y after investments, which is 15% of the company's total production. Epsan says the main market for these materials is the automotive industry. This market is under pressure from the implementation of Article 4(1)(c) of the EU directive on end-of-life vehicles, whereby more attention must be paid to the use of recyclates in new vehicles.
