According to company information, Ems-Chemie AG (CH-7013 Domat/Ems) is the first European raw material producer to offer a flameproof high temperature polyamide. The construction material "Grivory HTV-V0" is designed for demanding applications in the field of electrical engineering. Unlike flameproof aliphatic polyamides, the mechanical properties of the new material, which is a partially aromatic copolyamide, apparently remain almost unchanged even after the moisture absorption which is typical of polyamide. Two glass fibre reinforced variants are available in either black or light beige.
