Spanish ABS/SAN producer Elix Polymers (Tarragona; www.elix-polymers.com) is launching a range of styrenic grades that can help customers better meet their regulatory and stewardship requirements.

The chemical compliance (CC) grades are for applications where specifiers are increasingly concerned about the regulatory aspects of materials from which certain products are made, for example toys, cosmetic containers and those that come into contact with food. Elix said the reinforced standards applied during production of the CC grades enable it to offer additional guarantees on regulatory compliance during the lifetime of finished products. The company added that the range also comes with a package of extended services that will help OEMs carry out their product verification and stewardship processes.

The CC grades will debut at the "Fakuma" (www.fakuma-messe.de) trade fair being held from 16-20 October 2018 in Friedrichshafen / Germany.

Other products that Elix will feature at the trade fair include plating grades for high-visibility automotive parts and the sanitation industry; high-heat ABS for demanding automotive applications; speciality grades for consumer grades that feature chemical resistance, laser markability and very high flow; and special ABS grades that are optimised for 3D printing using fused filament fabrication/fused deposition modelling (FFF/FDM).
