On 1 October 2007, Dutch polyurethane system house Polymer Chemical Company BV (PCC) was formally integrated into Elastogran, a subsidiary of BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) and was renamed Elastogran BV (Lemförde; www.elastogran.de) – see Plasteurope.com of 26.02.2007. The polyurethane system house, located in Boxtel / The Netherlands, will contribute to strengthening the network of Elastogran system houses in Europe operating close to their customers in the Benelux region. The company says that its customers will benefit from improved product availability, greater delivery reliability, a larger product portfolio and the facilities of BASF-PU research activities worldwide.

Elastogran has incorporated the PCC team of PU specialists. In close co-operation with its customers and based on extensive testing, including product safety, current PCC product labels will gradually transfer to Elastogran brands, ranging from “Elastopor” to “Elastoshore”. Until this process has been completed, PCC and Elastogran brand names will be used in parallel.
