EC Erdölchemie GmbH (PO Box 75 20 02, 50754 Köln) and BP Chemicals GmbH (Roßstr. 96, 40476 Düsseldorf) have appointed a new distributor for EC's wire and cable products in the USA and Canada. The new distributor is Heller Performance Polymers Inc (707 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, NY 10604, USA) with offices in principal cities throughout the USA and Canada and representation throughout Latin America. Heller will distribute the entire range of specialist wire and cable insulation and jacketing polymers produced at EC's fully-integrated manufacturing site in Cologne, Germany, and marketed by BP Chemicals GmbH, Germany.

Henning Schussmuller, BP Chemicals Marketing Manager for EC wire and cable products said: "We look forward to extending Erdölchemie and BP Chemicals success in Europe and the Far East into the USA and Canada through our new relationship with Heller." – Heller Performance Polymers sell products to the wire and cable industry and have their own production facilities in Visalia, California, USA for jacketing compounds, colour concentrates and additives. – EC has just announced plans for substantial investment in product development. New products have been announced for the power and telecommunication industry and further developments are planned.
