DÄTWYLER
EUR 92m investment in second US plant / Elastomeric products for pharmaceutical injection systems
Dätwyler (Altdorf / Switzerland; www.datwyler.com) plans to set up a second production site in the US, which will produce high-quality elastomeric components used in administrative systems for injectable medicines. The facility will be located in Delaware / USA. The company is investing about CHF 100m (EUR 92m) in the site, where construction is set to begin before the end of this year. The plant is expected to start up in H1 2018.

Equipped with the latest in cleanroom technology and automated manufacturing sales, the plant will employ about 120 workers. Dätwyler’s Sealing Solutions business set up its first US facility in 1981, supplying leading American healthcare and pharmaceutical suppliers.

In September this year, the Swiss group acquired German tool manufacturer and injection moulder Ott (Cleebronn; www.ott-otc.de).
