DuPont Engineering Polymers (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.dupont.com/enggpolymers) has appointed Fluorten Srl (I-24060 Castelli Calepio BG, www.fluorten.com) as distributor in Italy for “Vespel” polyimide parts and shapes. Established in 1966, Fluorten, with a workforce of about 140 and a turnover of EUR 14m, is a converter of most advanced plastic materials and supplies mechanical, automotive, aerospace, pneumatic and pharmaceutical markets.

The Vespel parts and shapes are well known for their exceptional combination of properties: high resistance to wear and tear and low damping factor in lubricated and not lubricated environment, fair mechanical resistance, high dimensional stability and uniform performances over a very broad range of temperatures.
