The Plastics division of packaging manufacturer DS Smith (London / UK; www.dssmith.com) has announced it is investing USD 4m (EUR 3.6m) in the expansion of its injection moulding facility for "Worldwide Dispensers" in Lester Prairie, Minnesota / USA. The investment includes constructing a 7,500 m² new building at the plant, which will also have laboratories for product development.

DS Smith Plastics’ Flexible Packaging CEO Kevin Grogan says the expansion helps "solidify" the company as a global leader "in the design, testing and manufacturing of liquid packaging dispensing products." Completion of the new building is scheduled for spring 2018.
