“Non-core” Demes Logistics sold to Cartonplast Holding
International packaging supplier and office products wholesaler DS Smith (London / UK; www.dssmith.uk.com) has completed the sale of the business and assets of reusable packaging management specialist Demes Logistics, which it acquired at the end of 1998 – see Plasteurope.com of 30.09.1999. The unit, which DS Smith said had become non-core within its plastic packaging segment, has been acquired by international transport packaging group Cartonplast Holding (Dietzenbach / Germany). Demes Logistics had gross assets of EUR 11.2m at 31 October 2009.
