DOW
Full takeover of PU joint venture in Thailand
Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) plans to acquire the remaining 51% of Pacific Plastics (Thailand) (PPTL, Map Ta Phut) for an undisclosed sum. The company, up to now a joint venture of Dow Polyurethanes and Siam Cement Group (SCG) with two smaller partners, manufactures polyols and polyurethane systems for the Asian market. Dow declines to give capacity figures at the Thai site, where it also operates other joint ventures with SCG.
