Effective immediately, Domo Chemicals (Leuna / Germany; www.domochemicals.com) has designated Ultrapolymers (Lommel / Belgium; www.ultrapolymers.com) as its distributor for “Technyl” polyamides in Europe, with the exception of Serbia and Russia. Domo initiated a change in Technyl’s distribution structure following its acquisition of Solvay’s (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvay.com) European performance polyamides business PolyTechnyl last year (see Plasteurope.com of 02.12.2019, 05.02.2020 and 24.01.2020). Ultrapolymers is distributing Domo’s complete range of PA 6 and PA 6.6, PPA and PPS-based technical polymers sold under the “Technyl”, “Domamid”, “Thermic” and “Econamid” brands.

With the Polytechnyl acquisition, Domo’s sustainable product range has expanded significantly, adding the Technyl “4Earth” grades to the portfolio. These have been developed using recycled airbag fabric waste. Domo does not sell or distribute Technyl to customers and distributors in Switzerland and outside of the European Economic Area.

Ultrapolymers, part of Ravago (Arendonk / Belgium; www.ravago.com), was established in Belgium in 2002. It has 27 branches across Europe, Turkey and South Africa as well as 45 warehouses serving customers in over 40 countries.
