New plant in Moldova / Production of cable sets for the automotive industry
Coroplast (Wuppertal / Germany; www.coroplast.de) is currently setting up a plant in Moldova to produce cable set systems for the automotive industry. The company is intending to launch production in Causeni this summer in a 9,000 m² building complex that it is renting, a spokeswoman informed Plasteurope.com. Work is then scheduled to start on a second production shop. The initial workforce of up to 200 will be increased to between 500 and 600 employees over the long term.

Coroplast operates other plants in Germany, Poland, Tunisia, Mexico, the USA and China. The producer of cable sets, cables and adhesive tape has some 6,200 employees worldwide.
