PP catalyst production facility opened in Kentucky / Cooperation through strategic partnership with CB&I
Swiss speciality chemicals company Clariant (Muttenz; www.clariant.com) has opened a PP catalyst production facility in Louisville, Kentucky / USA. The plant, developed and implemented in cooperation with engineering and construction specialist CB&I (The Woodlands, Texas / USA; www.cbi.com) makes the Louisville site Clariant’s largest US production hub for catalysts.
Clariant has significantly expanded its presence in the North America region over recent years, with sales increasing from USD 939m in 2011 to USD 1.12 bn in 2015. It has 1,800 regional employees at 41 locations. The new facility is part of Clariant’s long-term strategic partnership with CB&I’s Novolen technology business – Lummus Novolen Technology (Mannheim / Germany; www.novolentechnology.com).
