German pallet producer Cabka-IPS (www.cabka-ips.com), part of the Cabka Group (Berlin; www.cabka.com), has developed a new plastic pallet specifically for applications in the chemical industry. The "Eco P3" pallet is designed to meet the requirements of the logistics sector in this industry for minimising the risk of damage to the load and maintaining a steady flow of goods. Designed according to the standard "CP 7" wooden pallet, its wing design – with the top extending beyond the runners and feet of the pallet – it has a large support surface to optimise the transport of bags, even on smaller conveyors.
The Eco P3 has the same dimensions (1300 x 1100 x 150 mm) as the CP7 wooden pallet, but at 12 kg the Eco P3 is lighter and offers a better price-performance ratio. The plastic pallet will be presented for the first time at the "interpack" trade show in Düsseldorf / Germany from 4 to 10 May.
Another product that will be exhibited at interpack is the "CabCube 2.0", which is a collapsible large load container used to deliver goods to production lines or warehouses. It is produced by an injection moulding process, which differentiates it in the marketplace where thermoformed products are most common. According to Cabka, one truck load can transport 364 empty boxes, and the CabCube 2.0 can achieve up to 80% volume-reduction.
Cabka-IPS produces plastic pallets and bulk containers in Weira / Germany, as well as in Ieper / Belgium, Valencia / Spain and St. Louis / USA. The company has more than 570 employees and is represented in more than 80 countries.
