Additive producer launches subsidiary in Brazil

German additive manufacturer BYK (Wesel; www.byk.com) has announced the expansion of its activities in South America with the establishment of a subsidiary in Brazil. BYK do Brasil, based in São Paulo, will with immediate effect take on local responsibilities for marketing, sales, and technical service, the speciality chemicals firm said. The new subsidiary is headed by managing director Roberto Duarte Coelho.

BYK said it regards the region’s economic dynamism – particularly in plastics applications, coatings, paints, and cosmetics – as a “key growth driver”, said Stefan Mößmer, managing director of Marketing & Commercial at BYK.
