BRASKEM
Fernando Musa nominated as group CEO
Fernando Musa has been appointed the new CEO of Braskem (São Paulo / Brazil; www.braskem.com), replacing Carlos Fadigas. Musa previously served as chief executive of Braskem America, responsible for the group’s operations in the US and Europe. In that position, he also oversaw the group’s purchase of several PP assets previously owned by Sunoco and Dow (see Plasteurope.com of 02.02.2010 and of 05.10.2011). Musa intends to focus his term on driving the group’s growth and international expansion as well as identifying new investment opportunities both in Brazil and abroad.

Fadigas first became Braskem CEO in 2010 (see Plasteurope.com of 30.11.2010). He will remain with Braskem parent company Odebrecht Group (Salvador / Brazil; www.odebrecht.com), where he will focus on supporting the company’s ongoing international expansion.
