The Administrative Council of Economic Defence (CADE) approved the deal on 23 February, on condition that it receive prior notification from Braskem about any future import contracts for resins with exclusivity clauses.
Braskem also made a commitment to supply information periodically about import and export contracts as well as some contracts that give it any form of exclusivity.
Following the decision by CADE, Braskem said it will now assume full management of Quattor. Quattor was previously a joint venture between petrochemical holding company Unipar and state-owned energy group Petrobras.
