As of 1 November 2017, Philippe Roodhooft is executive vice president Middle East & Growth Projects at Borealis (Vienna / Austria; www.borealisgroup.com). Since 2013, Roodhooft was the COO of Borealis jv Borouge (Ruwais / United Arab Emirates; www.borouge.com), where he was instrumental in the startup of the Borouge 3 project.
Louis Desal is Roodhooft's successor at Borouge. Desal is former senior vice president Operations Base Chemicals at Borealis.
