Speciality chemicals distributor Bodo Möller Chemie (Offenbach / Germany; www.bm-chemie.de) opened another production facility at its Sadat City / Egypt location that will produce solvent-based epoxy resins, polyurethane and packaging fillers.

To date, 8,000 t/y are produced using 18 mixers with capacity ranging from 250-4,000 litres. Three additional mixers, each with a capacity of 1,500 litres, increase the existing plant’s production capacity by 1,000 t/y, and three automated filling lines load container sizes from 100 g to 5 kg. Bodo Möller has also increased the on-site workforce in parallel to raising production capacity.

In future, the new facility will take over the manufacturing of solvent-based products. The existing plant is meanwhile concentrating on the production of aqueous systems.
