French injection moulding machinery producer Billion (Bellignat; www.billion.fr) and robotics manufacturer Sepro Group (La Roche-sur-Yon / France; www.sepro-group.com) have taken their collaboration to a new level. Both companies share the desire to export and are now offering a complete equipment package that is made up of Billion injection moulding machines with Billion robots that are manufactured by Sepro. The package will be sold under the Billion brand name.

The partnership builds on the two companies’ existing collaboration in France, the UK, Germany and North Africa, as well as during global trade shows. As part of it, Sepro’s proprietary visual robot-control system will be integrated in Billion’s “Dixit 3” injection moulding machine control.

Commenting on the decision to collaborate, Billion CEO Korbinian Kiesl said, “It allows us to provide a complete turnkey solution, not only where we are already active, but also in emerging markets and where there is growing interest in automation.” This, he added, is particularly true of Africa.
