Price increases for rigid PVC and PET films
Effective June 2018, Bilcare Solutions (www.bilcaresolutions.com), the films division of Bilcare Research (Basel / Switzerland; www.bilcare.com), has announced price hikes for PVC and PET films. The Swiss rigid films manufacturer did not disclose the amount of the price increases.
Bilcare Research managing directors, Andreas Pfefferle and Thomas Piwowarsky, said, "Driven by the significant and continuous resin price increase over the past months and the considerable increase in energy and freight costs for the manufacturing and distribution of plastic films, we see no other option than to increase prices for our films, as we are no longer able to compensate for this escalation in costs."
