Jonas Borgsten appointed global business director, engineered polymers

German distributor Biesterfeld (Hamburg; www.biesterfeld.com) announced that it has appointed Jonas Borgsten as global business director for the engineered polymers business unit effective 1 March 2026.
Borgsten joined Biesterfeld in 2024 and holds master’s degrees in business administration and polymer science. He brings experience in sales, commercial leadership, and global profit and loss responsibility from international companies including Dow Chemical and DuPont. Most recently, he served as regional director north, where he was responsible for the strategic development of Biesterfeld’s polymer business in the UK, Ireland, and the Nordic countries. He is to continue in this role alongside his new global responsibilities.

He succeeds Martin Rathke, who is leaving the company after more than 18 years.
