Rick Klop appointed CEO of EPS producer

Following its recent merger with Unipol (Oss, Netherlands; www.unipol.nl), the raw materials division of EPS specialist Bewi (Trondheim, Norway; www.bewi.com) has announced that it has appointed Rick Klop as CEO, effective 1 November. Bewi Raw (www.bewi.com/raw) operates production sites in Porvoo and Kokemäki (both Finland), Wismar (Germany), and Etten-Leur (Netherlands), with a total of eight suspension and three extrusion lines. According to Plasteurope.com’s Polyglobe database, the company has an overall EPS capacity of nearly 300,000 t/y.

In his new role, Klop succeeds Jonas Siljeskär, who had served as interim CEO of Bewi Raw since June 2025 and will now resume his previous position as COO of Bewi. Klop’s career to date includes various roles in the oil and energy sector – among them at Swiss company Varo Energy, where he most recently held the positions of COO and executive vice-president, as well as at Argos Group and Frisol.
