Jean-Marc Galvez becomes new president of Consumer Packaging unit
Jean-Marc Galvez has been appointed the new president of US packaging group Berry Plastics’ (Evansville, Indiana; www.berryplastics.com) Consumer Packaging division. He succeeds Tom Salmon, who was promoted to president and chief operating officer in October 2016 (see Plasteurope.com of 19.10.2016).
Galvez previously worked as president for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa at Berry’s Health, Hygiene and Specialities division. He joined the company in 2015, when Berry acquired Avintiv (see Plasteurope.com of 06.08.2015), where he worked as vice president of Sales, Marketing and Product Development for Europe. His career also included stints at Merquinsa, Monsanto and Dow Chemical.
