Seal for Life business sold to Arsenal Capital
Arsenal Capital Partners (New York, New York / USA; has sealed another deal. The US private equity firm has bought packaging group Berry Globals (Evansville, Indiana / USA; Seal for Life business (SFL, Stadskanaal / The Netherlands; for USD 330m (around EUR 296m).

SFL produces technical sealants, tapes and coatings for various applications, such as corrosion protection for pipes and joints. The Netherlands-based company operates another European plant in Westerlo / Belgium and production sites in Baroda, Gujarat / India, Tijuana / Mexico, Dammam / Saudi Arabia and Franklin, Kentucky / USA. Its annual sales amount to around USD 120m.

Berry completed the takeover of RPC (Rushden / UK; on 1 July 2019. The combination will create a packaging group with more than 48,000 employees at 290 locations worldwide and an annual turnover of USD 13 bn see of 03.07.2019.

Arsenal Capital is eyeing companies in various plastics-related sectors. The New York-based company is planning to take a controlling interest in US plastics recycler Revolution (Little Rock, Arkansas; see of 30.07.2019 and close the acquisition of Clariants (Muttenz / Switzerland; healthcare packaging business in 2019 see of 23.07.2019.
