Berlin Packaging (Chicago, Illinois / USA; www.berlinpackaging.com), which claims to be the world’s largest hybrid packaging supplier, has made its second UK acquisition in as many months. The group said it has bought Raepak Limited (Norwich; www.raepack.com), a leading supplier of plastic packaging for the cosmetics and personal care end-markets. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In March 2021 Berlin acquired UK packaging manufacturer Roma International (Hadleigh; www.roma.co.uk), which, like Raepack, also specialises in cosmetic and personal care packaging made of glass and plastics (see Plasteurope.com of 15.03.2021).
Based in Norwich, Raepak offers a wide variety of pumps, sprayers, dispensers, airless bottles, tubes, roll-on bottles, and other packaging containers and closures for the beauty industry. “The acquisition of Raepak will enable Berlin Packaging to further extend its offering in the cosmetics and personal care sectors,” said Paolo Recrosio, CEO of Berlin Packaging’s European operation.
