To meet growing demand and to be closer to customers, German plastic closures manufacturer Bericap (Budenheim; www.bericap.com) has opened a sales office in Ukraine. The company says the office shortens response times and enhances its service level. Headed by Sergey Sokolov, the new office has been tasked with raising the company’s footprint for beverage closures in Ukraine and to introduce some of its closures for the food, chemical and automotive markets.

Previously, Bericap had been supplying its Ukrainian customers from Russia. The German company operates a total of 21 plants in 19 countries worldwide, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Bericap posted revenues of EUR 640m in 2012 – see Plasteurope.com of 14.02.2013.
