On 1 March 2023, Ketan Joshi took over as head of the Intermediates division in Ludwigshafen at chemicals group BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany; www.basf.com). The 44-year-old succeeds Stephan Kothrade, who had headed the division since the beginning of 2022 but was recently appointed to the chemical giant’s board of directors as successor to Saori Dubourg, who fell out of favour with BASF CEO Martin Brudermüller.
