The Bioresins division of British manufacturer A&O FilmPAC (Olney; www.bioresins.eu) has signed an agreement with Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen Ecomann Biotechnology (Shenzhen, Guangdong Province; www.ecomann.cn) to become the sole distributor for Ecomann's range of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) resins in Europe. The British manufacturer says this latest agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies, creating a contractual area that covers the EU, Turkey and some African countries.

Ecomann currently manufactures about 5,000 t/y of the biodegradable polyester resin, with capacity set to increase to 50,000 t/y in 2012, following start-up of its new facility in Shandong Province / China.
