The European Council for Plasticisers and Intermediates (ECPI, Brussels / Belgium; www.ecpi.org) has a new manager. Jean-Luc Wietor now oversees the activities of the association, which represents the European plasticisers industry. Wietor previously held a number of R&D, marketing and product management positions in the paint and coatings industry.

The association will also grow next year, as Proviron (Antwerp / Belgium; www.proviron.com) is set to join in January, bringing ECPI’s total membership to seven. The addition of the company which specialises in phthalate-free and bio-based plasticiser solutions for PA, PVC, PVB, rubber and PLA means ECPI now represents about 85% of total European plasticisers production.
