Resin technology extended to pultrusion
Ashland Performance Materials, part of Ashland (Covington, Kentucky / USA; www.ashland.com), has developed its “Envirez” resin technology for pultrusion applications. “Envirez” 50380 resin is claimed to offer high reactivity, supporting high line speeds. The company, which produces unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins, said that builders that use pultruded window lineals and other building components produced using the resin can now earn credit toward points under the US Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building code as it contains recycled materials.
