Polyamide 6.6 producer Ascend Performance Materials (Houston, Texas / USA; www.ascendmaterials.com) has announced an agreement with thermoplastics distributor Resinex (Arendonk / Belgium; www.resinex.com) for the distribution of its “Vydyne” PA 6.6 resins. Resinex will supply the resins to customers in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Benelux, the Nordic countries, the UK, Ireland, France, East-Central Europe, Russia, Turkey and South Africa as an official representative of Ascend.

Christelle Staller, Ascend’s European sales director, said “Having the right distribution partner with a keen technical focus is critical to ensuring that each customer gets the best possible support on both a commercial and technical level.”

Earlier this year, the US company signed an agreement to acquire compounder Poliblend (Mozzate / Italy; www.poliblend.it) and masterbatch specialist Esseti Plast GD (Mozzate; www.essetiplast.com) from the D’Ottavio Group (see Plasteurope.com of 14.02.2020).
