Flame-retardant PA 6.6 portfolio grows
US producer Ascend Performance Materials (Houston, Texas; introduced additions to its "Vydyne" PA 6.6 solutions at the "NPE" trade fair in Orlando, Florida. The company's Vydyne solutions are for automotive, electrical and electronics, industrial and consumer applications. The company offers what it calls two best-in-class unreinforced flame-retardant products for E&E applications, namely Vydyne ECO366H and Vydyne FR350J.

Vydyne FR350J was launched in 2017 – see of 24.10.2017 – and is a flame-retardant compound designed for use in unattended electrical connectors for home appliances. Vydyne ECO366H is a non-halogenated flame-retardant PA 6.6, and the company says it has an excellent relative thermal index (RTI) electrical rating of 150 C, making it ideal for connectors and terminal blocks.
