Three new US plants planned / EUR 40m investment
Automotive components supplier Grupo Antolin (Burgos / Spain; www.grupoantolin.com) is planning to spend around USD 50m (EUR 40m) to establish three new plants in the US over the next five years. All three production sites are to be built in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The new operations are to manufacture doors and interior trim panels for several unnamed automotive companies. Not too far away, BMW has a big factory in Spartanburg, as does VW in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Daimler produces its "Sprinter" van in North Charleston, South Carolina. The investment is expected to create over 150 jobs.

Antolin currently operates 13 plants in the US with a total of 4,500 employees. The company's portfolio covers vehicle interiors, including overhead systems, doors, lighting, cockpits and interior trims.
