New facilities for PET and PE packaging start up in France / Automated warehouse to open in 2019
Thermoformed plastic packaging producer ANL Plastics (Wellen / Belgium; www.anlplastics.com) has started up a new 4,000 m2 facility in Cahors / France. The unquantified investment in revamping of existing facilities to expand overall space also includes a new 2,000 m2 automated warehouse from 2019, which will allow all finished products to be shipped from the Cahors site north of Toulouse. New office space is planned to be completed in November 2018.
The Belgian plastics converter with 380 employees and three production sites, at Dabrowa Górnicza / Poland in addition to Wellen and Cahors, supplies key markets for food- and non-food packaging. Activities in extrusion and thermoforming, along with tool manufacture, are concentrated at the headquarters site. The focus in Poland is on eastern European markets. Altogether, the company produces around 1.5 bn units of PET and PP packaging annually.
