Australian packaging group Amcor (Hawthorn; www.amcor.com) has announced the launch of a mono-polyethylene laminate that can be recycled in the PE stream.

The company said the film will result in recycle-ready lidding for 3D-thermoformed packages, including drapes, protective materials, catheters, and injection and tubing systems. Other applications include 2D pouches for wound care materials and gloves.

Amcor’s recycle-ready medical laminates are to be on display at the Compamed trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 13 to 16 November.
