Acquisition of Chelsea Building Products
German PVC profiles producer Aluplast (Karlsruhe; www.aluplast.net) has acquired PVC manufacturer Chelsea Building Products (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania / USA; www.chelseabuildingproducts.com) from US holding company Graham Partners for an undisclosed amount. According to Aluplast, the doors and windows profiles manufacturer is to largely operate independently under the existing management of CEO Peter Dewil.

Aluplast CEO Dirk Seitz sees Chelsea as the "cornerstone of global strategy" and the acquisition is expected to drive growth in the US. It is obvious to consider synergies with the US sales company aluplast US Corporation (Ogden, Utah), noted an Aluplast spokesperson at the request of Plasteurope.com. However, a relocation or consolidation of the subsidiary has not been planned.
Aluplast has profile production plants in Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Mexico and India.
