Distributor signs deal to market Röhm's Plexiglas, Pleximid compounds
German chemicals producer Röhm (Darmstadt; www.roehm.com) said it has appointed compatriot distributor Albis (Hamburg; www.albis.com) to market its Plexiglas and Pleximid moulding compounds in Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

The distribution arrangement started on 1 February 2024, Röhm said.

Röhm noted that the standard and speciality moulding compounds in its Plexiglas PMMA portfolio have the highest surface hardness of all thermoplastics and are UV- and weather-resistant. 

The company’s PMMI Pleximid compound has a very high heat deflection temperature combined with high transmission, and is used in the electrical and electronics industry, among others.
