Distributor launches sales company in Vietnam
German plastics distributor Albis (Hamburg; www.albis.com) said it has established a sales office in Vietnam, thereby strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia.

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Albis Vietnam will supply local growth markets such as mobility, E&E, and healthcare as well as offering logistics services and technical support. 

With regard to the choice of location, CEO Horst Klink emphasised the growth-friendly market environment and the political stability of the Southeast Asian country, which is home to almost 100 million people.

Other companies from the European plastics industry have also invested there in recent months, for instance Swedish elastomer specialist Trelleborg, Austrian injection moulding machinery manufacturer Wittmann, and the adhesive tape manufacturer tesa.

Albis has 25 branches worldwide and employs a staff of around 500.
