ALBIS PLASTIC
European distributor of Ineos Styrolution's "K-Resin" SBCs
Styrenics manufacturer Ineos Styrolution (Frankfurt / Germany; www.ineos-styrolution.com) and Albis Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.albis.com) have expanded their partnership. The Hamburg-based company is now distributing "K-Resin" brand styrene-butadiene copolymers (SBCs) in Europe. The agreement builds on Ineos Styrolution's acquisition of Chevron Phillips Chemical (CP Chem, The Woodlands, Texas / USA; www.cpchem.com) and Daelim Industrial's (Seoul / South Korea; www.daelim.co.kr) global SBC business – see Plasteurope.com of 02.11.2016.

The K-Resin SBCs complement Ineos Styrolution's portfolio of SBC specialities, which includes the "Styrolux" and "Styroflex" product lines. Albis sees K-Resin products as especially suitable for customers in the packaging and healthcare sectors, which can require resins with demanding technical properties.

K-Resin is suitable for both injection moulding and extrusion processes. It is characterised by high transparency, good stiffness and toughness, as well as an excellent surface appearance, according to Ineos Styrolution.
