High flow alternative added to “Alfater” TPV range
Albis Plastic (Hamburg / Germany; www.albis.com) has introduced a high flow alternative to its “Alfater” thermoplastic vulcanisate (TPV) range. The material is available in a range of colours and speeds and can be processed even at low pressure, Albis said. Hans Rukes, of the Albis technical compounds division, said the new grade provides advantages in complex injection moulding components with long flow paths. “The first successfully completed projects in the automotive division have demonstrated that impressive results can be achieved in processing even for components with extremely thin walls due to the excellent flow properties of Alfater high flow types.” The materials cover the hardness spectrum from A40 to D50.
